Chainspire dungeons
Last time we saw our heroes you were below the Chainspire Prison looking for missing workers and a missing search party!
Chainspire prison is under reconstruction, and some workers had gone missing. You discovered that it was a tribe of Goblins, with some mean Goblin Sorceror leaders, who had infiltrated the place, and after a couple of days of hard work, much blood, some sweat, and some tears, you resurface and make your way to the concentration camp to report that the threat has been dealt with.
Exploring the depths you found that the original elvish owners had built the keep to support an effort to block an entrance to the Underdark down below, and a shrine to the elvish god Sehanin was placed close to the entrance.
Back into the sunshine
When you resurface, and return to the camp, you find the concentration camp has been destroyed. The workers have fled, and you find numerous dead Purple Dragons throughout the ruins of the camp.
There are also a lot of dead mercenaries, and a grievously wounded Peder Haussner tells that he suspects that it was the scumbag noble Will Dracohorn who was behind the escape.
You help Peder recover, and after summoning the souls of some of the dead, and consulting with Lathander there is no doubt that it was Dracohorn who was behind freeing the prisoners.
Peder resurrects the leader of the Purple Dragons, but the rest are left in the camp, and you prepare to head to Arabel.
Arabel
Togehter with Peder you head to Arabel, where you finally return the books you were sent to retrieve for the Tymora high priestess Esmaralda Arnor, and you receive praise for your contribution to making Cormyr a safer place to be, even though there now are some serious threats to the safety of the country and it’s people.
That will be for someone else to do something about, and Peder makes for Suzail to assist in the recapture of the Netheril nobles and “Will Scumhorn”.
And then you rest…
Hluthvar
Early one morning Hamron has a vision where he sees “the fingers of the gods” shine a light on a ruin deep in Far Hilss, and he is filled with a supernatural certainty that his mentor is still alive despite having been thought lost months ago.
After a consultation with Esmeralda you decide to head West to try and find what became of Zenan, what really happened in Hluthvar, and prepare for an expedition in to the mountains of the Far Hills to see if you can locate Hamron’s mentor, and maybe others of the party he was part of, and on a side note see if you can find a way to get the better of Carandini.
The travels West are relatively easy and uneventful, but not without a run in with some of the many monsters that roam outside of the safety of the cities.
Tired, but some experiences, and gold and magical items, richer, you arrive in the Spring in the town of Hluthvar, where you find rooms at the ‘Hammer and Forge’. From here you begin your investigation into what happened last year, and prepare to launch an expedition into the Far Hills.
First stop is the bookstore ‘The Scarlett Letter’ which was owned by Randal Greycastle who was the one who turned out to be a vampire and who Zenan and the others pursued into the marshes at the foot of the Far Hills.
The Scarlett Letter has reopened.
