#1 – Chasing Meltar

The 12th day of the 10th month, 1489 Dale Reckoning


It is fall in Cormyr and where there is relative peace and quiet within the borders, there are stories of the Cult of the Dragon and their attacks on towns and fortifications in the rest of Faerun, and a Green dragon has supposedly taken control over Phlan with an army of humans and humanoids.

The story begins late one evening in the Northwestern corner of Cormyr, where you are riding through the pouring rain, and you have just spotted the lights from the inn ‘The Crow and the Cockatrice’, and you now look forward to a warm meal, getting some dry clothes, and some much needed rest – if your guard allows it of course!

We ended with this scene

Meltar came bursting out of the private room in the back of common room of the Inn. A man stands behind him, yelling “go to hell thief”.

A green ray hits Meltar in the back and he goes to ground only to rise seconds later as an dried up husk – as an undead.

The green ray came from a withered hand that was held/wielded by a “merchant” having private discussions with Meltar.
